Oktay Gençer is a Turkish comic artist from Istanbul, who works in a cinematic realistic yet pseudo-cartoonish style. He was a pupil of the grand master of Turkish comics, Oğuz Aral, and published his earliest works in Salata magazine, and then in Gırgır and Fırt. He has contributed on a regular basis to Lombak and created such serials as 'Zavallı Polat' and 'Cihangirde Bi Ev'.
Çarpişma
He is however best known for 'Çarpişma', a relational drama serial, that he originally created with Memo Tembelçizer for Penguen weekly. He now continues it on his own in Uykusuz weekly, of which he was co-founder in 2007.
