'Gasoline Gus'.
O. P. Williams was an early newspaper artist, and creator of such comic strips as 'Cap'n Binnacle' (1904), 'The Mother Goose Clan' (1908-09), and 'Gasoline Gus' (1913-1915). 'Gasoline Gus' was syndicated by the Philadelphia North American from 26 January 1913 to 4 July 1915, when the publication sold its last issue. Between 1919 and 1921 'Gasoline Gus' was reprinted as a Sunday comic by World Color Printing.
