Arnauld Cambier was born in Hornu. After graduating from the I.S.E.P. in Mons, he became a teacher with two schools in Tournai. He developed his interest in comics with a colleague, art teacher Xavier De Cock. Cambier took courses at art schools and created and self-published his own comic, 'Madelin le Clown Tournaisien'.
